Day 1:
Arusha Town - Tarangire National Park.

Your guide will meet you at the hotel/airport and give you the safari briefing for your safari, then drive to Tarangire National Park for some amazing game viewing. The game in this beautiful national park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devoted birder and even the most reluctant to appreciate them. It is home to up to 2500 elephants, which can be seen looking for under-groundwater in the dry riverbeds during the dry season, as well as migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and other incredible sightings like lions, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, baboons, and waterbucks.

The park scenery is also one to look after, a landscape dotted with huge baobab trees, and the meandering life-giving Tarangire River offers excellent game viewing during the dry season. (June-October) when the migratory wildebeest and zebras are around. Late in the evening leave the park and drive to Africa Safari camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

Manyara Area - Serengeti National Park.

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, we set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of Serengeti National Park – a famous migration corridor and UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you’ll have a chance to witness the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. Depending on the time of the year, the migration is within the southern grass plains and the central part during the months of December-May. Within these two days, we will explore the park’s rich habitats for the big cats who rule the plains, Serengeti is home to lions, leopards, hippos, cheetahs, giraffes, elands, warthog, and hyrax.

The plains are dotted with mammoth rock out-crop, swamps, valleys, acacia tree lines, and River-line habitats, in the central part, marking game-viewing good throughout the year. Our camp is set in the central park giving us perfect movement for game viewing. Dinner and overnight Serengeti Heritage tented camp.

Day 3:

Full Day Exploring Serengeti National Park

Another day of morning and afternoon game viewing in the Serengeti. With so many wildebeest, gazelles and zebras present it is no wonder the Serengeti is also home to 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards. Apart from the Big Five, the Serengeti boasts the cheetah, jackal, hyena, serval, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, hyrax, Thomson, and Grant gazelles, ostrich, martial eagle, lovebirds, and vultures, just to name a few. Enjoy this supreme game viewing and return to Serengeti Heritage in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:

Serengeti (Central) - Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

After breakfast leaves the camp, and explore the Namiri plains for its great sightings of a cheetah while also looking for the big pride of lions found in this area. It’s one place in Serengeti where if you are lucky, you might see cheetah hunting. Other sightings here might be jackals, hyenas, and Kori bustards. Stop under an acacia tree and enjoy your mouth-watering lunch before crossing to the Ngorongoro conservation. Visit the Maasai village and head to the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 5:

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha Town

Leave the lodge at around 6:00 AM and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. Grass steppes, acacia forests, alkaline lakes, rivers, streams, and swamps are home to almost all the species of animals found in the East African savannah. The crater is home to Africa’s big five lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes. The alkaline Like offers excellent sightings of flamingoes from June to August and on the shows, you might see jackals and hyenas lazily lying on the edge of the lake.

Other residences of the Ngorongoro are hippos, zebra, wildebeest gazelle, and birds with the grey crowned cranes, ostrich, and kori bustard catching the eyes of both birds and non-birders. After extensive game viewing and a picnic in the crater, you will leave the Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon, and drive back to Arusha.
