Day by day

Day 1:
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Welcome to Tanzania

Once you set foot in Tanzanian soil, you will immediately be embraced by the friendly nature of the people. Outside our representative awaits with a broad simile to welcome you, and accompany you to the lodge where you will receive heartfelt welcome. During the journey, you will catch a glimpse of Tanzania amazing landscape, and perhaps the ever presence Impressive Mt. Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, we will be provided with a briefing for your entire safari.

Day 2:
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Breakfast: At the lodge.

Morning: Tarangire National Park is named after Tarangire River that flows through its borders. One of its main highlights undoubtedly the large herds of majestic elephants, who thrive in the abundant food source available, making them bigger, and stronger than in any other place.

The parks landscape is also filled with many ancient baobab trees some of which are believed to be over 700yrs old, which adds to the stunning beauty of the landscape.

Keep your eyes peeled as you explore the park, and you may also spot lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo, waterbucks, and more than 400 bird spices have been recorded here.

Lunch: picnic in the wilderness.

Afternoon: After lunch, we’ll continue our game-viewing drive to witness the wildlife of Tarangire National Park. Afterwards, we’ll head to our permanent lodge in the midst of Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 3:
Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Serengeti National Park

Breakfast: At the lodge.

Morning: We drive through the Ngorongoro conservation before descending, 610 meters down to the grasslands of the crater floor, an area of about 265 square kilometers. Despite its small size, the Crater is a Big 5 country and the openness of the terrain means easy and rewarding game viewing. You will spend the day exploring the crater floor, stopping to picnic on the grasslands amidst the grazing herds. Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, the world’s largest intact and un-flooded caldera provides a year-round home to an astonishing 25,000 large mammals including black rhino, wildebeest, and zebra along with Africa’s densest concentrations of hyena.

Lunch: picnic in the crater

The Crater’s forests shelter elephants and buffalo, and its wetlands are home to hippos and flamingos while lions, jackals, leopards, and caracals make up the full range of predators. After lunch, you leave the crater behind and drive to the Serengeti National Park.

Day 4:
Serengeti National Park to Ndutu Area

Breakfast: At the camp.

Full days game drive in Serengeti National Park with packed lunch till late evening. Then drive to your camp for dinner and overnight. Serengeti does not disappoint when it comes to rich game viewing. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration that brings them from central Serengeti from Kenya’s Maasai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle. Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephants, giraffes, and buffalo. As the lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals stalk them.

Dinner: At the camp.

Evening: You are free to remain in the main dining tent area or around the campfire to discuss the day’s wildlife.

Day 5:
Ngorongoro Ndutu Plains

Breakfast: At the camp.

The Ndutu plains is a seasonal location tucked between the NCAA and Serengeti, allowing off-road game drives, perfect for migration viewing.

The Great Migration is a perpetual movement of over 1.5 million of wildebeest, zebra, antelope and other migratory wildlife in search of fresh food and water. From January to February, Ndutu is expected to have a dense concentration of migratory herds, as it hosts the highly anticipated calving season.

With the gathering of the Great Migration along with thousands of baby calves born every day, predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena will also follow in a desperate fight for survival.

Be alert for the striped hyena, a rare carnivore which prefers the Ndutu area and often spotted at dusk or dawn.

Evening: You are free to remain in the main dining tent area or around the campfire to discuss the day’s wildlife.

Day 6:
Exploring the Great Migration in the Ndutu Area

Breakfast: At the camp.

Morning: After our hearty breakfast, we head out to enjoy a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region. We endeavor to explore the range of different habitats found here that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the world-famous Serengeti short grass plains. We will see the awesome sight of the great herds of wildebeest and zebra. During a short time, frame around end of January-February, normally lasting for about 3 weeks, the majority of the wildebeest calves dropped in the region with half a million young in this awesome act of synchronized birthing. The sea of grass provides little cover and the young Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are born and within 30 minutes, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herd.

Dinner: At the camp.

Evening: You are free to remain in the main dining tent area or around the campfire to discuss the day’s wildlife.

Day 7:
Ndutu Region to Ngorongoro Highlands

Breakfast:  At the Camp.

Morning: This morning is set aside for game drives in the Serengeti. The Serengeti boasts an abundance of wildlife such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have a good chance of encountering predators and you may see lions, cheetahs and leopards. It is a truly life-changing experience.
Lunch: Picnic in the wilderness,

Afternoon: (Optional) we’ll visiting the Oldupai gorge, and learn about the origin of human kind, and some time at the museum.

Dinner: at the Lodge

Evening: You are free to remain in the main dining area or around the lodge to discuss the day’s wildlife

Destination: Serengeti National Park

Meals included: B L D

Accommodations: Marera Valley lodge or Similar.

Day 8:
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Morning: Your next safari stop is Lake Manyara, a fantastic and relatively compact park. There is so much to look forward to here. To start with, there’s the dramatic scenery of cliffs, forest and lake all in a relatively small area. You’re also in for a treat when it comes to wildlife. Lake Manyara is famous for its elephants that roam the forests, its gregarious troops of olive baboons, and its lions which, unusually, climb trees. It’s a unique combination that offers something a little different to the other parks in Tanzania’s north. This marks the end of your safari in Tanzania.

Lunch: picnic overlooking the Lake,

And don’t forget the impressive 400-Meters – deep Rift Valley Escarpment. A crack in the earth that stretches for a thousand kilometers across East-Africa. You will be dropped at the airport for your onward connection.

Suggestion.

You can extend your holiday with a visit to the crystal clear waters of the tropical Island of Zanzibar or Pemba.
