1. Ngorongoro Crater.
The Ngorongoro conservation area also contains the spectacular Ngorongoro crater (250Km. sq.), which is the world’s largest unbroken caldera, and lies on the eastern Great Rift Valley. There is a large concentration of big game within the crater, including the visible population of black rhino in their natural environment, and the rest members of the big five with the world densest population of lions in the wild. Although the crater has a healthy population of wildlife, and incredible landscape to view them, it’s easy of seeing the famous big five in the natural environment which takes the node, with a span of ours you will have checked off the lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo of your bucket list.
2. Serengeti Moru Kopjes.
To the southern part of the famous Soronera valley lies a rich game-viewing area the Moru kopjes. It’s here where we have a small population of black rhino, which can be explored by those who want to avoid the more crowded Seronera valley and instill humility. The towering granite kopjes of Moru acts as a good viewing point for lions and leopards. However, the kopjes are good breeding sites for these fearsome animals, while the valleys offer good feeding areas for elephants, rhino, and buffalo. There is a good road network around the valleys, and kopjes offering a close look for the game found around here, even during the peak season the area always seems deserted, and you might find know any other car around giving you the experience, that you are off-the-bitten-track.
3. Northern Part of Serengeti National Park.
The northern part of Serengeti is famous, because it’s here the wildebeest have to cross the Mara River, and gate to the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The area is underlined with River-Rene habitat, valleys, rocky outcrops, woodlands, and plains. The valleys, River areas, and woodlands are very good places to look for elephants, lions, buffalo, and rhino. Leopard is the most adaptable of all the big five and can be found in almost all the habitats, but here they can mostly be seen around the rocky outcrops. These are the best three places to see the big five in the whole of Tanzania.
