Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed as one of the seven wonders of Africa, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some 1: 5 million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 300,000 zebras and 500,000 Thomson’s gazelles join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant’s gazelle.  Within the two days, we are going to explore the plains, water holes, kopjes, and Rivers for the spectacular great migration during the months of May-July. This is the best time of the year to see predators prey interaction, and the eastern plains of Namiri plains and the Gol-kopjes offering excellent cheetah and lion sighting. Our camp Serengeti heritage is at the heart of it all, set on a high elevation offering an excellent view of the plains from your doorstep.

At the Maasai village playing host to your tour, you will have the opportunity to meet with a Maasai family, visit a traditional boma, the village huts (called Manyatta), made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. The most famous of Africa’s people, these fierce warriors are still practicing their ancestral way of life and are known for their pastoral traditions, living off their herds of cattle, sheep, goats, and donkeys. Since time immemorial the Maasai moved nomadically in search of water and pasture for their herds, but today they are living a semi-permanent life due to lack of enough land to room with their animals, the village we will visit is out of the normal touristic ones. After we will head to Arusha for lunch with last-minute minutes shopping and proceed to Kilimanjaro international airport and connect your flight home.
