The 8-days safari itinerary takes you through three of Tanzania’s northern circuit famous wildlife destinations the legendary – Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire to deliver a dramatic wildebeest migration, big cats, and big game safari.

Begin your day with a flight to Serengeti National Park where you find yourself in the legendary Northern reaches of the park, home to abundant wildlife all year and also the scene for the seasonal Great Wildebeest Migration. You can look forward to exploring the teeming plains from the comfort of Serengeti wilderness camp and Mawe tented camps. Morning and afternoon game drives are designed to catch wildlife on the move and you can also view the action from above on an optional hot-air balloon safari, then to Ngorongoro Crater, which offers the easiest and most rewarding Big 5 viewing in East Africa. On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your guide for the drive to the Maasailand safari lodge located in Arusha, one of the most influential cities in Tanzania. Strategically located at a base overlooking a remarkable view of Mt. Meru. Thus representing one of Tanzania’s best views right at your doorstep.  After settling into your room, take a walk around the garden or relax by the swimming pool.

Main Destination: Arusha

Accommodation: Maasai Land Hotel.

Day 2-3: Serengeti National Park (Northern)

The day begins with an early morning transfer to Arusha airport and a flight to the Serengeti National Park and your accommodation: Serengeti wilderness camp. Enjoying an elevated setting on the Kogakuria Kopjes in the far north of the Serengeti. There is time to settle in and relax – before you begin exploring the savannah. And with two full days here, you have plenty of time to take it all in. The area is home to abundant resident wildlife and its many predators – lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, and crocodile – as well as excellent birdlife. During migration season, the camp could not be in a better position. Lying directly on the migration path, the camp offers its guests sensational sightings of river crossings and predator/prey interactions.
We will have 2 days of game viewing to witness the Serengeti Migration. River crossings at the Mara River from the months of July –October as the mega herds settle into the area, game viewing is at its best with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses.

Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Serengeti National Park on a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon flight. At dawn, rise as the sun greets the day and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below. At other times you will probably ascend to 1000′ or more to see the vast magnificence and spectacular panorama of the Serengeti

Mawe Serengeti is position on an acacia woodland and offers great movement to and from the high game viewing areas. There is plenty of time to explore this corner of the Serengeti, and your time here includes a full-day drive with a picnic lunch. The central Serengeti is famous for the great sighting of the big cat’s lion, cheetah, and leopard. Your guide will take you out to the Namiri plains and the Gol-kopjes for up and close sightings of lion and cheetah in these plains, which is out of the crowded area and will give you a perfect understanding of the word endless plains “as far as your eyes can see” no tree stands your way.

Day 8: Tarangire—Kilimanjaro international airport.

After a relaxed breakfast at the camp, you will drive to the Maasai village, an adventure to Tanzania wouldn’t be complete without meeting the enchanting Maasai people. This wonderful cultural excursion will immerse you in the fascinating ancestry of these noble people. At the Maasai village playing host to your tour, you will have the opportunity to meet with a Maasai family, visit a traditional boma, the village huts (called Manyatta), made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. The most famous of Africa’s people, these fierce warriors are still practicing their ancestral way of life and are known for their pastoral traditions, living off their herds of cattle, sheep, goats, and donkeys. Since time immemorial the Maasai moved nomadically in search of water and pasture for their herds, but today they are living a semi-permanent life due to lack of enough land to room with their animals, the village we will visit is out of the normal touristic ones. After we will head to Arusha for lunch with last-minute minutes shopping and proceed to Kilimanjaro international airport and connect your flight home.
